Gym Floor & Observation
Parents are not permitted in the gymnastics areas; they are only permitted to observe classes from designated observation areas.
Children not participating in a class must remain in the observation areas, supervised by their parents.
Students must be in a class, supervised by a teacher, to utilize the gymnastics equipment.
Food & Beverages
No food, drink, or candy in the gym area. Food and drinks are permitted in the upstairs area but please clean up after yourself. Gum is not permitted anywhere in the gym.
Smoking or consumption of alcohol in the gym is not permitted by anyone.
Clothing with zippers or buttons may not be worn during class or in any Asheville Gymnastics activity. Students may wear leotards, or shirts and shorts or leggings. Shirts should be able to be tucked in.
Students with long hair must tie their hair back away from their face.
Jewelry should not be worn during classes, with the exception of small stud earrings.
Personal Items/Lost and Found
Staff will not be responsible for ANY items that may be lost or stolen. PLEASE LEAVE VALUABLES AT HOME!
Be sure your student’s personal items are marked with their name.
Personal items should be left in cubbies.
Items left at the gym will be placed in the Lost and Found bin at the end of the day. Items that remain unclaimed at the end of the month will be donated or discarded.
Gymnasts are expected to be on time for class.
Gymnasts should not arrive more than 15 minutes early for their class and must be picked up no more than 15 minutes after class. Please inform the front desk if you are going to arrive late.
Gymnasts should wait in the cubby area for their class to begin.
Children are not allowed in the parking area without an adult. Please escort your child to and from your car.
Tuition is due by the first of the month and is considered Past Due as of the 11th. There will be a $10 late fee per child charged to your account for tuition paid after the 10th of the month. If we do not receive payment by the last class meeting of the month, your child will be dropped from the class and the spot will become available to our waitlisted students.
Classes are priced by the month. In the calendar year, months vary between 4-5 weeks. We do not charge more for months containing 5 weeks and we do not charge less for absences. If for some reason we are closed, including holidays or inclement weather, tuition is not pro-rated; you may either schedule a make-up lesson or attend an Open Gym time (free of charge).
There are no refunds on tuition.
Maintaining regular class attendance will provide the best learning experience for your child as well as continuity within the group; however, we understand that there are times when your child will be absent. For this reason, we allow one make-up class per month if space is available. Make-up lessons must be scheduled with the front desk by calling 828-575-2238, or emailing email@example.com. We do not provide refunds for classes that your child is registered for but did not attend.
Make-up classes are to be scheduled within 30 days of the missed class and cannot be transferred.
Make-up classes are permitted for any class (except competitive teams) that your child misses provided that your tuition account is current.
Parents are required to provide 30 days written notice to drop a student from a class. Only advance notice via email, regular postal mail or hand delivered to our front desk will be acceptable.
Please note: You are responsible for payment for your student’s classes whether or not your child attends classes until the time you notify the Front Desk in writing. Please do not rely on your student to verbally let us know that he/she will no longer be attending classes.
If a student stops coming to class without notification then that student’s account will continue to be charged for the additional 30 days. This charge will be for holding the student’s place in that class instead of offering that place to one of the many on a waiting list.
After one month of absences, students will be dropped from their class. Tuition will need to be current and the student re-registered before attending classes again.
Only in extreme weather are classes cancelled. On those occasions, we will make the decision to cancel classes by 2:30 PM on the day of the inclement weather. A message will be on our voice mail advising you of this cancellation and our website and social media. Parents will also receive an email notification of the closure.
