Recreation Gymnastics

We have been working hard at Asheville Gymnastics to make improvements to our Recreational program! We are sub-dividing classes to ensure gymnasts learn at the level that truly fits them. At the same time, we are placing a greater emphasis on skill progressions and technique in order for all of our gymnasts to gain the most confidence when learning and performing skills.

Below is an overview of skills and progressions for Girls Rec-Classes.

Girls Rec Skills Chart Red-Green

Our recreational gymnastics classes are intended to provide a safe and fun environment for kids to learn basic gymnastics skills. Typically, gymnasts will commit to coming to one class a week, where they will learn how to safely tumble, flip and bounce while getting to use the full range of gymnastics apparatuses.

Gymnasts will gain strength, confidence and flexibility in a structured yet friendly space.

Evaluations are held twice a year to ensure that each gymnast can continue to be challenged and learn new skills as they progress through the levels!
